The Uses and Technical Characteristics of Open-End Hex Keys (Allen Wrenches)
2019/05/19 66

Screws are the primary fasteners in mechanical equipment, and open-end hex keys (Allen wrenches) are essential tools for processing, production, and maintenance in the machinery industry. This project represents a revolution in traditional wrench tools, offering several advantages.

1.It allows for rapid work, with a working speed three to four times faster than traditional wrenches and even faster than rapid wrenches.

2.One open-end hex key can be used for 2 to 6 sizes of screws, while a double-ended fixed wrench is only suitable for 2 sizes. One open-end hex key is equivalent to 2-3 fixed wrenches or one adjustable wrench but without the need to adjust the jaw for quick work.

3.It has a long service life and is less prone to damage compared to rapid wrenches.

4.The manufacturing process is simple, and its cost is lower than that of fixed wrenches.

5.It is lightweight, easy to carry, and reduces physical effort during use.

Surface Treatment for Open-End Hex Keys

1.Bright Chromium: As shiny as a mirror.

2.Satin Chromium: With a matte finish.

3.Electrophoresis: Black with a certain brightness. Under the action of an external direct current, charged particles are made to move directionally towards the cathode or anode in a dispersed medium, promoting the separation of substances.

4.Phosphating: Black but with a dull shine. This process involves immersing the material in a phosphating solution, where a layer of insoluble crystalline phosphorus deposits on the surface, a process involving the conversion of hydrochloric acid.

5.Gray Nickel: A brand-new surface treatment method with strong rust prevention capabilities, which increases the product's service life.

6.Other treatments include blackening, nickel-iron alloy, pearl nickel, black nickel, and titanium plating.
