Inspection Requirements for Hex Keys (Allen Wrenches)

1.The hex key must be free of rust, burrs, cracks, and spots.

2.The wrench jaws should be symmetrical, and the laser etching should be clear.

3.The hardness of the hex key must meet the specified standards, and the clamping position must be accurate.

4.For adjustable wrenches, the turbine operation should be flexible, and the pivot pin should not be loose.

Surface Treatment for Hex Keys

1.Bright Chromium: As shiny as a mirror.

2.Satin Chromium: Matt finish.

3.Electrophoresis: Black with a certain degree of brightness. Under the application of an external direct current, charged particles move directionally in a dispersed medium towards the cathode or anode, promoting the separation of substances.

4.Phosphating for Hex Keys: Black but with a dull gloss. The material is immersed in a phosphating solution, where a layer of insoluble crystalline phosphorus is deposited on the surface. This is a process of hydrochloric acid conversion.

5.Gray Nickel: A brand-new surface treatment method with strong rust prevention ability, which can increase the service life of the product.

6.Other treatments include blackening, nickel-iron alloy, pearl nickel, black nickel, and titanium plating.
